After class activities

We offer traditional and pop culture courses that can be booked additionally with many activities. Throughout the week we offer many free and payable events such as language exchanges, excursions, fun activities and tradtitional cultural immersion.

Japanese language course offer

The standard course can be booked from one week to one year. The long-term course is either 3 months or 6 months long and offers a discount when chosen. The summer course is from 2 to 12 weeks long. The winter course is 2 weeks long. Additional modules such as conversation (1-8 weeks), traditional (1-4 weeks), pop culture (1-2 weeks), business manners (1-4 weeks) and private lessons (no limit) can be booked additionally to the standard or long-term course. Course length for private online or offline lessons are based on the student's need.

Class schedule :

Number of lessons: 20 lessons per week (45 mins lessons with 5–10 minute breaks between classes ).
Days of classes: Monday - Friday.
Time of classes: Morning block from 09:00 to 12:20, and afternoon block from 13:10 to 16:30. 4 lessons per day: typically 2 grammar classes + 2 skill-application classes (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
Group size: 3-9 people.

Part-time job

The school doesn't provide part-time job offers but the students can attend the business manners course to learn how to behave in a Japanese job environment and succeed at interviews.

Course Characteristic	The Standard Course is the foundation of Meiji Academy’s teaching, built around Communicative Japanese to ensure you can use your skills in real-life situations. Our curriculum emphasizes interaction and practical application, developing all four core skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Once a solid base is achieved, we progress to Kanji, preparing you to learn independently without a teacher.

Standard course combined with seasonal activities and events, available during January and February in Hokkaido only.

Course Describtion	Our Private Online Lessons are aimed towards students of all levels who would like to take big steps towards fluency in the Japanese language. Private Lessons are completely personalized for each student, meaning that teachers will focus on the specific areas of Japanese that you want to improve the most. Here are some of the aspects of Japanese you can expect to improve: - Vocabulary & Grammar: Master sentence structure and expand your Japanese lexis. - Reading Comprehension: Learn to read more kanji and understand a wide variety of texts. - Speaking: Get fluent in both formal and informal Japanese.

Course Describtion	Study with Meiji Academy for either 3 months or 6 months and get a huge discount on our standard course! This special course is one of our most popular long-term courses due to its flexibility and easy enrollment. Anybody from a country with a visa waiver agreement with Japan or a working holiday visa is eligible for this course. In most cases, no special visa will be required to stay in Japan for up to 6 months. Depending on your nationality a 90-day tourist visa extension can even be granted while you are residing in Japan. The school doesn't sponsor student visa.
